We don't have a video player and my DVD rewrite doesn't work properly so is it worth the effort of the right equipment for 5 videos?

Ours are home videos & ones we bought from school of productions.

On ebay you can get a cable to transfer your videos from a video player to pc then you can copy them to dvd. I think it was about £7. I have been meaning to get one for ages but haven't done it yet! I too have loads of videos I want converting.

A friend of mine asked me this question recently. The cable itself is fairly cheap and even Windows XP has the built in Movie Maker software.

The problem I've found it is a very time consuming process which also uses a lot of disk space whilst you record the file then convert them and burn to DVD.

Plus bear in mind that the ink on DVD discs do deteriorate over time.

So for me the answer really depends on how much you've been quoted, how technical you are, how much spare time you have and what that time is worth to you.

Everybody seemed to have missed the bit where the OP says he/she doesn't have a video player :)

Thanks APMF :)

If I had the video player id have a go!
