Love those Toca boca games - we have the hair studio, tea party and doctor one .....

mathsbingo is quite fun and has different levels ....

Timmy Tickle is brilliant - my two year old LOVES it

You should check out www.p2games.co.uk - they have so many great apps for kids, and a lot of them feature recognisable characters such as Peppa Pig, Postman Pat and Fireman Sam. They're really great games, and I even like to play them myself.

Toca Boca are a huge hit here, as well as Peppa and Hairy Letters. Mi wish Hairy Letters would get an upgrade as my 4 yr olds have memorised nearly all of it. Simple Math is good too. My DS loves Asphalt which is car racing. Not exactly designed for children but he's very good at it and seems to have better reflexes than DH!

We have a passion for Duck Duck Moose - my DD1 is really enjoying the music one!

I know it's for older kids but UCAS personal statement app has been a godsend with my son's university application.

As a mom I started developing my own games for kids. Over the last months I've developed a series of puzzle games for toddlers. If you want to take a look you can find the games here:

I've included a safety function, so parents can turn off all external links per game session... like for example to the developer website.
You can play the first puzzles in each game for free and if you like it you can purchase more puzzles and you will get new content updates for free.

My son loved the app iCanCount. This app made eating our hassle free for us. it was free at the time and has much improved with additional languages.

Angry birds! Best one for big kids too but the DC love it.

We all (2 x 38yr olds, a 2yr old and a 1yr old) absolutely love love love Nighty Night. And Fox Studio. And the interactive books like Leo and the Windy Day.

Whatever you get make sure your settings don't allow in app purchases.

I really like (sorry DD really likes) MeBooks. In fact there are a lot of really lovely interactive book apps - the Heart & the Bottle, Mog, Green Eggs and Ham. They've been good value for us. She (nearly 4) also likes all the games, esp Peppa Pig and Putt Putt (which we had for the computer when our first DD was same age - seems so old fashioned now!)

The kids love play The Lulus Memory Match! The Lulus are their favorite show in Aus, so to have an app with them is fun for the kids. Plus lots of positive message and.....no in app purchases!

They are for Ipad and Iphone and think they have android version too.
