Good site for smartphone reviews or advice on which one?

I have to get a new phone and though I'm sure a smartphone will be overkill for my usage, it looks like the only sensible option. I have a 2yr old and a 7mo old and life feels pretty chaotic so I'm being a bit resistant to change and procrastinating choosing a new phone! I use my current dying mobile for calls (just under 200min a month), texting and the camera, and battery life is pretty important to me - and I want to stay with O2. Oh - and I want to pay hardly anything. Well, not much over £20 a month at least! I'm equally open to just buying a new phone outright and staying on my Simplicity Pay&Go plan.

Can anyone advise me where to find decent reviews of phones? Or some way of working out which combines great battery life and a great camera or whatever? Or just tell me which one to buy? Can't believe I'm being so thick about this!

Smartphone's have rubbish battery life. Fact. Even the best will barely last one day if you use it. Two if you do nothing but keep it in your pocket. If you are ok with that then great, get a smartphone. If not then it sounds like you might be better off with a more traditional phone.

With your monthly price range and the fact you wish to stay with O2 then you do restrict your choice a fair bit. Given it's your first smartphone then perhaps the Wildfire S from Dialaphone would be suitable. Dialaphone Link

The second tariff down seems the best to me but have a look and decide for yourself. £21.50 a month, you get the 200 mins you want, unlimited texts and 500MB of data which isn't bad. Plus you get £170 auto cashback after the peace of mind period which I cant remember how many months that is. Could be 6. Not sure.

The Wildfire S is an entry level phone so it will be slower than most but the S version is much more usable. The original Wildfire was rubbish.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the comprehensive answer! Can you tell me what the camera quality is like on the Wildfire S? I'm a bit suspicious about this auto cashback thing too - is it really that easy?

OR where on earth I can find a decent traditional phone now - no highstreet stores have any I can have a play with...

No idea about the camera. I've not used it but I'm sure there will be plenty of reviews online to read and you can always go into a store and ask to play with one.

The autocashback should be pretty certain. Usually these sorts of firms do redemption cashback which is a bit more hit & miss as they work these deals off people missing information/forgetting but auto cashback should happen regardless.

Hope that helps
