Good Iphone contracts

Does such a thing exist?

I'm trying to convince myself that I'm happy with my battered old phone that probably belongs in a museum on a £10/month contract, but am starting to realise how happy an Iphone could make me!

Can anyone suggest a good contract for an I-phone?

have you looked at utility warehouse? they have some good tariffs. savedbythebill.co.uk
alternatively try out billmonitor website. good luck!

If you want an iphone then you will have to be prepared to pay for it.

There's really not that much difference between the various providers at all. IIRC Tesco Mobile offer the cheapest overall.

However, if you can afford to pay for the phone in one go then the best bet would be to get it SIM free from Apple then put a GiffGaff SIM into it along with £10 goody bag.

Thanks for your responses.

I'm off to find out what a GiffGaff SIM is!

I second Giffgaff.... has saved me a FORTUNE!!

I got a 3gs for £18.50 a month - not great package but worked out I would spend about the same over the life of the contract on buying one new from Apple.

HugosGoatee · 14/11/2011 14:22

T-Mobile are currently doing iPhone 3GS for £15.32 per month and the phone is free Smile 2 year contract though, but that's getting to be standard for smartphone contracts.

Now I know I'm asking a lot, but can I take my orange phone number with me if I move to a different provider?

Also these deals are sounding very good - do they include plenty of internet browsing time? (I'm not very technical - sorry if I'm not talking the talk!!)

cocking Orange have just put their insurance admin fee on my iphone up from £15 to fifty fucking quid in one fell swoop. Even if the handset they have provided me with develops a fault. The Arsehats.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 14/11/2011 21:38

So I'd be well rid of Orange then?

Sounds like it.

I'm on O2 and for £18.50 I get 100 mins, 500 texts and 100mb data - which I am told is not a lot but does me as I tend to use wifi mainly.

In terms of taking your number I think you need to get a porting code from Orange to give to your new provider and they do some magic and tada you are on your new number

PattySimcox · 15/11/2011 09:56

*old number - sorry been a long day already

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 16/11/2011 22:07

Oh, a porting code - of course!!

I'm such a technophobe that I've never heard of such a thing, but as one exists then I'll be able to get that sorted if I do evermanage to make my mind up about which contract to go for!

Thanks Patty.
