dh has seen an offer in the times today of £100 M&S vouchers if you upgrade to sky hd (from sky+) online.

he's very keen. i'm not as dc2 is arriving tomorrow so i'm not sure we need to spend extra cash we may/ may not have.

how much extra a month is it? we get the entertainment package (sky 1, atlantic etc) and the sports package at the mo.

TIA:)

£10.25 a month.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure its worth it. I guess it depends on how big your TV is and how far away you sit in relation.

I have a big lounge and despite my TV being 50", i honestly cannot see the difference between SD & HD for movies & TV when sat in my usual place. only for outdoor scenes but then later you forget if you are engrossed in the plot. That said, I do see a difference for football though so thats why your hubby may be keen! I won't watch footie on SD anymore.

Given that you are having DC2 and so will in all likelihood be staying home more, seeing some ungodly hours etc. Why not let him sign up for 12 months. It's an extra £10 so not going to break the bank and in return, you get the vouchers to spend on yourself! Win-win!

If after 12 months you don't like it, turn off the HD pack.

Thanks niceguy!
he's already ordered it! It is just the extra £10 a month so not too bad. I was worried there'd be some hidden charge or trick for them to get extra £££ out of you! (yes I am a cynic!)
Anyhow he's very happy now and if this is the 'treat' he needs before dc2 then that's ok- last time was a MacBook! Hmm
The anytime feature looks good too as we love ploughing through a box set of something! :)

If he's a sports fan then it could well be worth it. I'm not and I tend only to watch England or my son will watch Man U play. So for me it's not a huge deal.

Just make sure you bagsie the M&S vouchers! Grin

He does love his cricket and if villa aren't awful then the footy too.

Think the vouchers will be spent on clothes for fast growing dc and easy ready meals for the post baby haze that is about to descend!

OOOh my top tip is to call and say you're thinking about moving to virgin. They'll bend over backwards to keep you as a customer.

We have used this tactic a few times, and haven't needed to pay for repair bills/new boxes/house moves etc.
