that you can recommend. I can find lots of them when I google - but I don't want to spend hours downloading stuff to find it's cr*p.

I don't want to do anything really fancy - just some basic animations (well I would like to so fancier stuff but that can wait Grin)

Thanks

How about using Free Trial software. Then you get to play with it and decide later if you want to pay for it or not.

I've used an early version of SWiSH before. Not used current product but I expect it's just the old product with more added features. SWiSH miniMax

May depend on what you are actually wanting to do. If you want to draw individual cells, then just link them together then GifAnimator will join together individual image files.

nanny - want to avoid a free trial of anything (have too many free trials off stuff on my computer as it is Blush) until I can afford to splash out and buy something quite fancy [Grin

In terms of OpenSource, how about Synfig. Not tried it myself but YouTube has examples of animations done by people using the software.

Have you looked at Scratch?

Our ICT club at school have been investigating it recently & even the 8 year olds found it easy to use.
