Are Macros specific to the document they are created in?

Can they be?

Or do I need lots for different ones

eg a macro sizes photos to a particular size for one documnet & the same macro (altered) does a different size in another

Or do I need 2 macros

There are several ways to do this. One is to have the macro in a document template that you then use to create whatever other document you want. You could have the macro ask you what size you want the photos to be and it'll then go and resize them all.

Or, you can just have a macro in one document and then copy and paste the macro code into another.

Or, you could have a macro in one document that opens another document, resizes all the photos, and then closes it.

Having macros in the document template can be the most flexible approach as you can then build up a library of helpful macros, store them all in the same template, and then choose which ones you want to use as required.

That sounds good

If I have a working Macro - can I move it to the template or do I need to start again
