A bit more info would be useful, i.e. is this an architect's drawing or similar?

The easiest way to copy an A3 document is to take it to a copy shop as they will have a large enough photocopier and a stock of A3 paper.

If you want to use an ordinary photocopier such as they have in libraries, then you could fold the A3 and photocopy each side onto A4 paper then sellotape them together.

If you want a scan, and you've got the kind of printer/scanner that I have, you can feed the A3 in sideways and then depending on your software you'll either end up with a scanned A3 version or you'll have to scan each half separately and use software to "stitch" them together to make a full version.

That's for a full-sized version. If you only need an approximate version, you could take a photo of it with a digital camera and transfer that to your computer.

Sorry, it's just ds' home-school link book. I need to buy something as I'll be copying it regularly. I suppose I could cut it in half, but the school will be a bit Hmm

We didn't have home-school link books when my DC were at school, so I may have the wrong idea Grin but assume it's a book that's A4 size when closed and you want to have a copy of each page.

Probably the easiest way is to buy an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier. If you have a look at the Argos webpage (under "Office, PCs and phones", and then "Printers and fax machines", and then "All-in-one") there are some fairly cheap ones from £35 upwards.

Thanks huggly, I have one of those, but when the paper is folded into A4, the printer can't take the two pages through at the same time Hmm.

Perhaps I'll have to buy a flat top one.

I was hoping there was such a thing as a hand scanner really, so I could run it down each page.

I think there are hand-held scanners which you slide down the page - but they would be tricky to use as I think you have to go quite straight and at an even speed to have them work right.

This kind of thing?

I remember when hand held scanners where the only thing you could get, that takes me back....
