Unwanted contacts via Windows Messenger - PLEASE HELP!

Our babysitter used my netbook last night to chat on Windows messenger. I don't object to this but when I switched on to check my email this morning I had several people trying to add themselves to my contacts (whom I blocked) and then a load of contacts at the top of my contacts list when I opened Outlook. I don't know whether these are people she knows or if she's somehow opened it up for anyone to get in touch. I tried to delete these names one by one but when I got about half way through, they all disappeared. They reappeared after a few minutes and this time when I started deleting it wouldn't work. They randomly appear and disappear and in addition I can't seem to get rid of Messenger, I've signed her out and I keep trying to exit but it just suddenly appears again :(

I've sent her a text message but haven't had a reply yet. And I don't understand why they're on my contacts when she was signed into Messenger on her own email address. I have NEVER used Messenger so absolutely no idea what to do and v worried about security etc. DH works with computers so thought he could sort it out but apparently it's "not his area" Angry

Please help!

Oh, actually don't worry, turns out it was enough of DH's "area" for him to get rid, when I had badgered him enough to take a look. I think he's sorted it now. Thanks anyway, sorry for the false alarm :)

Not so much a false alarm - I've sometimes had clients where a teenager has for some reason (eg using their colour printer) been on the 'office' PC instead of their own and after they've used Messenger, it is a regular hassle for their parents.

I've never spent a lot of time working out how to get things back to pre-teen state, but have tended to simply rename the messenger programme so it cannot be found. Provides a short- / medium- term guarantee that if teen returns to that PC, Messenger won't work and they go off to another machine!
