and the person sends you a text, do they know it hasn't got through. I know phones have different ways of letting you know, like my phone only shows a message sent alert when the person is within signal and their phone is on. My friend's phone shows a 'sent' and then a recieved symbol when that person has got it.

So if my blocked number sends me a text will that person get any sort of confirmation.

It probably depends on the phone/network settings and the network they are on (some might report a failed message, or their network might just get a confirmation from your network and then report it had gone 'OK' while your network could simply not send it on). To be honest, I don't think any of my phones have the ability to block particular numbers, so I don't know if it works the same with text messages as for voice calls.

Have seen some comments in the past that it may be difficult to remove a number from the 'block' list so worth checking you can do that too, in case you ever accidentally choose to block a number by mistake Blush :)

I usually try to set my phone/network to confirm receipt and for messages to be stored as long as possible. I have a few phones on different networks (PAYG on Orange, Virgin Mobile and Asda) so could easily test if you want ...

If you need to try it out, I could e-mail you numbers to block and then after you confirm they are blocked, I could try to send a text ...

Hopefully you still have my e-mail address - I can check if I still have your old e-mail from when you wanted to get desktop and laptop working on the net at the same time.
