green to yellow - please help

Im growing lots of things in pots - courgettes, tomatoes, peas etc... except the folliage is starting to turn pale yellow. Its not dying or crispy, but is just less green.

Have given tomatoe plants some epsom salts (mix one table spoon to large watering can for 6 plants)

What should I do for the other plants?

Lots of water & feed them.

OnlyWantsOne · 29/06/2010 18:53

But Im worried that I may be over watering them?

and feed them what?

Lots of my plants are yellowing because they are drying out.

We feed on worm compost juice/ 6X juice and tomato food.

OnlyWantsOne · 29/06/2010 19:57

ok... so can I give everything tomatoe feed?

Well its not done mine any harm!

Courgettes & toms certainly need a LOT of water to keep going so I don't think you'll be over watering.

My peas are looking v yellow round the bottom but most of the pods are quite big now so the leaves may not be the priority IYSWIM. Are yours at the same stage?

OnlyWantsOne · 29/06/2010 20:07

yes, the pods are starting to swell on the peas (but the bottoms of the plants are yellow and withered - not a problem really)

... I thought you could over water tomatoes??

I shall feed my courgettes tonight with tomourite then

Are the pots big enough? Are the roots poking through the base? You may need to pot them on into bigger pots.

If you have terracotta rather than plastic pots, they will dry out much more quickly. Terracotta pots, although looking attractive, are not brilliant for thirsty plants like courgettes.

plastic pots, no roots poking out bottom - have fed them all with tomourite this morning.

What sort of position should they be in?

I've moved a lot of mine out of direct sun but the ones that I couldn't move are the ones yellowing. My toms that are yellowing are the ones which have been drying out quicker.
