picked a carrot too early...

...so put it back in the ground as I haven't got that many - it was only about an inch long! The stalks/leaves are about 7 inches high. Will it carry on growing? I did pile up some earth over it in the hope that carrot flies won't get a whiff of it.

awww i hope so, it should, shouldn't it? You can usually move plants.

The stalks have started drooping so I don't think it will carry on growing. Might have to dig it up and eat it!

No, it probably won't grow back. When a root veg is disturbed, it damages the root system and the plant can't re-establish. That's why you have to sow them in their final growing position.

eat it raw, home grown carrots are always really nice raw
