Rogue potatoes in the bean bed...what to do?

Hello! We moved house in November and our new house has 4 lovely raised veg beds which we are trying to fill. I (mistakenly) planted out my bean plants too early and the frost may have killed them - but while I wait to find out, I've noticed that some potatoes are growing in the same bed. I thought I'd dug it over but must have missed seeing bits of potato that the previous owners left in from last year.
So - do I let them stay there? or dig them out? Seems a shame to dig them up but am I right in thinking runner beans and pots don't like each other?
Cheers!

Hi there. I'ld dig them up. Obviously you're new to the place so its always tricky not knowing the history of the garden/plot. Theres a chance of passing on/introducing disease so its not worth it for the sake of a few tatties. Hope the frost hasn't killed your beans. Theres a saying up here in Scotland...ne'er cast a cloot til may is oot...the gist of it being dont get ahead of the season!

They're called "sleepers". I have one near some of my carrots. I'll just pull it out when I have a minute. The ones that I have left in the past don't crop well.

They're called self-setters here!

I usually leave them and eat them as the earlies. They usually mature before the deliberately planted ones.
