I'm planning to visit the Beth Chatto gardens this Saturday - if anyone else feels like going and meeting up for a cup of tea etc, let me know!

Taffeta - whilst I may pass on the latin with a following wind, it doesn't make you a good gardener!

As for the next trip - where are we all based? Pannacotta and I are Norwich, GM is Cambridge - who else is interested?

I would love to tag along as an amateur. Can't be trusted to contribute anything much apart from a couple of boisterous children, but I am a good listener and would love to learn from you all.

I live in Kent. So we are all East, so far.....

Reading this with some . I'm in Glasgow, so anyone fancy a trip to Crarae or Benmore? . Would love to visit a garden with some proper plantswomen (I am not really one, sadly)

My mum went to the Beth Chatto garden last summer and bought me a gorgeous little violet with bronze tinged leaves - it's flowering madly atm and looking lovely in my very shady garden next to some pulmonarias and a tellima that has gone completely bonkers in the last two weeks.

We could always try Cambridge Botanic Gardens at some point, since it does have monthly children's activities.

BTW, can anyone imagine what something that appears to be a variety of pulmonaria with pale yellow flowers and leaves which have an odd three dimensional surface to them might be?
