We need a new patio as the old reconstituted concrete blocks are wonky and look awful (previous owners choice). I liked the 'idea' of Cotswold stone but realise the colour won't 'go' with the house.
The house is rough-red bricks, mostly painted over in cream but with a wide strip at the bottom still left as exposed brick. The roof is orangey tiles.
I think a reddish tinged patio might work best but I wish I could try out various colours before deciding. The garden patio is quite a large area too.
So, one thought I had was dull reddish brown paving (something called Bradstone Natural Sandstone 'Modac') with a kind of edging of more reddish tiles/ brick.
My questions then are - has anyone any idea how reddish patios can end up looking - ie my fear is that it will be too 'red'? Does anyone know how I can find a picture on the internet of anything like the design I'm describing or other designs?
I bought 3 small versions of paving I'm interested in but can't really 'see' how it'd look if the entire area was coloured/ covered in these tiles.
