one that will flower either now or in October (her birthday)as an everlasting memorial. Has anyone got any ideas? Or you you know of any roses bushes/other appropriate plant with 'paris' in the name? Thank you.

what about a rose? Roses come in all sorts of names, if you look online I'm sure you might be able to find one with her name in it?

So sorry to hear this - there are no words really.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. A dear friend of mine also lost a child and I sent her a beautiful red rose called In Loving Memory. I will try to find the link.

I am not sure if this was the site but there is a rose with paris in the name here

this one

Thank you - that one looks lovely. I will see if the local garden centre has it, if not, I'll order it online. Many thanks. Just so sad.

not a very strong scent though, if you wanted something a bit stronger on smell, then the more plain roses are better such as the tea roses.

The more pomp and flower the less scent I believe.

Your friend would be so touched. It is a lovely idea.

You want David Austin Roses - there are photos and a guide to scent. 'Gertrude Jekyll' is a best seller - it's pink and has a beautiful scent. Why not ask what the dd's favouriite colour was? Terribly sad

Thank you - have ordered Pompom de paris for her beacuse of the name - think that will mean more to them at the moment. So very sad. Hope it brings them some comfort in the summer months.

Leslaki I am so sorry to hear of your friend's daughter, we had a stillborn baby boy in 2008 and picked a plant that flowered over his birthday, it has given me much comfort over the past 21 months,it is just outside our kitchen where I can see it all the time. I'm sure your friend will be very grateful that you have gone to the trouble of thinking and doing this for her. Big hugs, it is an awful thing for anyone to go through. xxx
