Pumkin Seeds

I've scooped out the pumkin seeds and dried them.

Will they be Ok to plant in the spring?

The person who sold us our pumpkins said she does that every year, so yes, should be fine.

last night, on Gardener's World (yes I KNOW but dh & dc's away till later)

the man said don't bother, as they do something weird, and morph, so they're bitter, twisted and inedible.

he suggested drying them, baking in a low oven with olive oil and paprika, and having them as a snack, with a bit of lee & perrins or something like that.

The pumpkins will grow bitter, twisted and inedible?

I don't really want to eat them next year, just carve them.

oh, ok, give it a go. didn't realise you weren't eating them.....

I saw that on GW too. Shame I'd already put my pumpkin seeds in the bin - sounded really tasty.
