How do you get rid of Spanish bluebells and can you grow anything else in the space you attempt to vacate them from?

On the back of another thread. We have a big clump. Tackling them this year but somebody on another thread said they’ll be back. Is there any way to eradicate them without chemicals? Can I grow anything in the space. If I dig out the whole clump, what will re growth be like?

We had loads and got rid of them just by digging them up and keeping on top of them. You need a good quality fork and dig very deep. Easier not to plant anything else until you are on top of them because you’ll end up digging the other plants up.

We still get the odd one popping up but it just gets dug up. I am in the garden a lot though (not just looking for bluebells but weeding etc) so it’s easy to keep an eye out.

if you can’t get the actual bulb of every single one just get as much up as you can.
