My 4 year old wisteria (I think it's 4) has about 20 flower buds on it - there was one last year. I'm so proud!

@LibertyLily oh my how beautiful 😍 Wisteria and the house! It looks like a dream. And your new plants look great, they clearly know they’re in good hands!

Thank you 😊 It was an amazing wisteria and house, I miss living there every day but sadly the location wasn't right for us.

I'm sure you'll soon make your new home absolutely lovely in no time @Imgoingtobefree...best wishes to you 💐

These pics really show that wisteria does take quite a time to get going but can also be long lived, but that may not be much help if you have only just planted one.

@LibertyLily that wisteria and garden look absolutely lovely, you must have been very sad to leave, although I bet the pruning was an adventure!

@TonTonMacoute thank you...it was and we were, particularly as we lost money on the sale 😥

Tbh, we never really seriously pruned it, it just came back bigger and better every year - I think it was just so well established. Whereas the wisterias we've had since - including a pretty white one we planted at our next house and the one we have here - have needed careful pruning.
