Erigeron Kavinskianus- will I regret planting it?

I’m just creating a cottage garden after inheriting a south-west facing border that was full of weeds.
I love the look of Erigeron Kavinskuanus but will it overpower the other plants? Does it spread by rhizomes or just seeds? Or will it be a brilliant gap filler that is easy enough to pull out where it isn’t wanted?

No its a lovely plant looks great in borders, tubs , paths anywhere. Just divide it up if it gets too much. Give it a trim every spring. I love it!

Seeds, easy enough to pull up. I love it and am sad that it is struggling in my new garden for some reason.

It's beautiful and definitely won't take over your beds. If happy it will find its own nooks in paving and spill over edges of beds and generally make everything more magical!

It sounds amazing! Thank you! I’ll go for it 😊

It's rather taken over the cracks in my patio but I mow it down every so often and it grows back tidier.

@Strandloverthat sounds like a good idea- that’s my kind of gardening 😃

It does well where I plant it but doesn’t seem to spread in my garden. It’s lovely. Easy to grow from seed.

My theory is that it dislikes open soil and prefers having roots under paving slabs etc. So will seed itself in old walls and patios but often fail to thrive in an ordinary flower bed.

Mines all over our courtyard, it’s lovely and if it grows out of hand I just pull some up.
The first piece was given to me some years by a friend from her garden, now she’s moved house I can give her some back for her new garden.

I’m really excited about planting it now and seeing how it grows in my garden. Thank you everyone!

I pruned my ones yesterday. Easy as pie. I treat mine like aubrieta.

I tried growing it along a path edge, but without success. This has encouraged me to try again. Thanks, @Everythingsgroovy .
