On moving I inherited a number of pots. In one has emerged this beautiful flower. Just one measuring about 5 inches. It has already been in bloom for several weeks - absolutely stunning 😍

What is it? How do I care for it, cherish it? What does it need potwise?
Waterwise? Location wise?

One of the pics is showing as a sensitive image - it's just soil in a pot

It looks like the snowball tree (I think official name is viburnum opulus). They’re glorious, and make a great cut flower cut with branches in a very large vase.

Plant it somewhere in damp shade.

It looks like a hydrangea paniculata. Lovely!

For now just keep it watered, but half the plant looks dead. They recommend leaving the dead flower heads on until next spring, as it protects the plant from frost, but if it's too top heavy you could cut it off and just keep the pot somewhere sheltered over winter.

I would repot it next spring, probably in the same pot, or one a bit bigger, and see how it goes. If the dead looking bit has no green shoots on it by then, I would try and separate it off and just repot the healthy parts of the plant.

It is a hydrangea panniculata not a snowball tree
