I hope the pictures are good enough.
It has thorns on it and some kind of berries growing.

What do you think this is?

TIA

It's a bramble, otherwise known as a blackberry. If you leave it, you could have a problem as every stem tip that touches the ground will root.

I think it's a bramble too. Will have delicious berries in Aug/Sept. Is an absolute menace that will take over an area. Chop back and dig up roots to get rid.

I did wonder. It has spread all through the hedges bordering my garden and it has even started spreading like you say through the lawn. 😢

I think it’s going to be very hard to dig up the roots because it has intertwined itself through all the hedging. I’ve just moved into this property and I’m finding the garden is going to be a much bigger project than I thought originally.

Sorry but surely you've seen bramble/blackberry bushes before?

Is it so hard to imagine that some haven’t?

Now you've said that, unless you're up for some very laborious work, I'd look at getting a professional in to do the job.

Brambles are a massive pain once they've established themselves, their roots are seriously tough and grow to the centre of the planet.
