I planted this shrub in my garden about 10 years ago. I wasn't impressed and thought I'd got rid of it, but I must have left some remnants and now it is back!
It's about 8 feet tall, is flowering now (june) and has creamy white flowers which are quite sparse. It looks a lot like a privet, but the leaves are longer and pointier. The flowers are scented, but not very nicely!

I think it’s a multiflora rose. Weirdly i was out on a walk and took a photo of a plant that looked like this this morning and looked up what it was!

This is the photo i took this morning but now i’m looking closely there are obvious differences. Sorry! I really thought i had it!

It's not Phillyrea is it? AKA mock privet.

Looks like osmanthus - evergreen, narrow leaves, trumpet like flowers.

Viburnum?

It is not necessarily the plant you bought and dug up again 10 years ago, just because it's in more or less the same place. It looks like privet to me, we have it all around our garden.
