Droopy rose - help!

I inherited this white rose when we moved into our house a few years ago.
No idea what type it is.
I prune it down to around 1 metre in height but when it blooms (all summer long) it's so heavy with flowers that the branches droop to the ground.
What do I need to do differently - prune it shorter or in a different way? Or is it a climbing rose and I should be tying it to the trellis or adding in a wire?

EDIT - I recently planted the small climbing rose just to the left of the white one, and added the trellis to the wall. Previously there was no trellis or wire on the wall, and when we bought the house the white rose was growing as it is now.

Yes i think it’s probably a climber , you need to tie it in or stake it.

Yes, you need to tie them in. Naturally, they would be growing up through other bushes which would support their stems, but they don't have that, so you need to give them a helping hand.

it might be a shrub rose but needs a nice strong metal obelisk to prop it up. You can get quite big ones, 2m, 3m etc.
