Huge weed like some sort of wild rhubarb?

Does anyone know what this is? Leaves are like huge canopies over a thick rhubarby stem with teeny weeny prickles. It's up at thigh height at the moment and I am torn between admiration and determination to exterminate.

Now that I've seen the picture ... def not gunnera.

My brother fell in a patch of hogweed as a child and even to this day his arms are all scarred and do not take the sun.
If the plant is hogweed then call professionals to come and remove it.
