Water fountain for garden

Hi, Im looking for a nice water feature for my smallish, NW facing garden. We have a small area of decking which we could place the fountain, or happy for it to go on our wall. Because we have a NW facing garden, we only get a few hours of sunlight (4-5 hours all day 🙁) so a solar fountain may not be the best option.

Any recommendations/ ideas for a suitable water fountain? TIA 🙂

I can recommend Altico water fountains, they look more expensive than they are and have a nice gentle sound. Plant hostas around it , they won’t mind the shade and will appreciate any water splashes too. Hope you find something.

If you’ve only got a few hours of sun, I’d skip solar altogether and go for a mains-powered fountain they’re just far more reliable in shaded gardens like yours.
For a small NW-facing space, wall-mounted or self-contained “plug-and-play” features work really well. You don’t need a pond just a reservoir base and a small pump, which keeps things simple and low maintenance. I’ve seen people use compact units on decking and they add a nice bit of movement without taking over the space.
One thing to watch is pump noise and splash. In a quieter garden, a gentle trickle (like a slate wall or tiered bowl) tends to sound nicer than anything too splashy, especially if it’s near seating.
If you did want something slightly more “pond-like” later on, even small setups using something like EasyPro Pond Fountains can work, but they’re probably overkill for a small decking area unless you expand the feature.
Overall, I’d go for a shaded-friendly, electric, self-contained fountain, less fuss and it’ll actually run consistently
