Sad lavender plant with photo

I transferred a young, healthy lavender plant into a larger planter with some other plants (daffodils (now finished), some aliums and daisy). The lavender is not happy - see attached pic. It has been in the planter about 4 weeks. We have had some very hot weather in south facing garden in that time, and some extremely wet weather too. No frost and no sign of insects.

Any thoughts on what's wrong? One side is happer than the other. It also has one kind of weird big bloom in the middle which is much bigger than the rest of the leaves.

Is it salvageable or shall I dig it out?

It looks like it was grown in a greenhouse and needed hardening off before planting out. Greenhouse plants will be soft and sappy as they have grown in warmer conditions and without the wind blowing them. They should recover but keep well watered and perhaps shade for the time being.

Thank you. I could always repot it and bring inside for a bit, then harden off gradually? You're right, I bought it as a plug plant and just stuck it in so it probably needed a lot more TLC!

Aren't you supposed to not put anything too near daffodils as they kill things off. I know that's true for floristry having watched Willow Crossley talk about it.

Ohh! Didn't know this! Will do some googling!

I find lavender need needs to be in the ground to thrive - abundant in the ground but have never been able to keep it alive in pots

I have quite a few in pots that seem to be ok and regrow every year - but this week plant was put in with other things. It definitely has enough room though. It just isn't doing well in there for some reason. I've taken it out and out it into a pot on its own to see if it will recover. Now need to think what i might replace it with. It is in a south facing garden, nice and warm in the sun, 'poor' soil ie a bit stoney, not too rich, well drained. I thought lavender would do well in it!

I have lavender planted in a bed surrounded by daffodils, as well as rosemary, thyme, roses, salvia’s & marjoram not to mention other bulbs - they all seem to thrive so don’t think that’s a rule.

Thanks. I did Google a bit and it seems the issue is with cut daffodils - in a bed with other plants they should be fine. I can't help but wonder if the erratic weather bothered it. We had extremely sunny days when I first planted it out, then some very heavy, incessantly rainy days and nights. It's possible it just couldn't cope with that much water.
