Which tall grass?

I'm looking for tall (ideally 6ft) ornamental grass that will stay in good condition over the winter. It can be evergreen, or stay as a dried buff coloured structure. Ideally nothing too dumpy - more skinny fountain shaped, so not pampas grass. Will be in sun on moist but well drained soil. Which mollinia? Which miscanthus? Any help?

Miscanthus sinensis stays bronze all winter and it's soft seed heads remain too til chopped down, a nice purplish hue when they're fresh too.

I’d recommend a miscanthus maybe “flamingo” or panicum virgatum which looks really good in autumn/winter

Miscanthus, 'Calamagrostis Karl Forster'

Miscanthus senensis is so varied as a group though? I was hoping for recommendations for specific ones.

I like Calamagrostis Karl Foerster, he was on my hit list already! Pleased to hear he should stay in decent condition through most of the winter.

I'll check put Pannicum variegated, too. Is M. Flamingo tall enough? I've called book thatvsayx it grows to 90cm, which is too short.

I love stipa gigantea. So waft and gossamer like so although tall you can place at front of border and admire the rest of the planting through a haze of interest.

I love stipa gigantea too, but I really need something less transparent. I'm not generally a fan of grasses, but I want to soften the look of a fence without the budget for shrubs nor patience to wait for small ones to grow!
So a backdrop of some shrubs thatll grow EVENTUALLY, , some grasses, red-stemmed dogwood, and tall perennials for the summer is my plan!

I've had success with Emanuel Lepage.
