Can anyone identify this tree please?
Currently lots of blossom and the scent is to die for.
Will definitely be planting one as soon as I work out what it is.🙂

That was speedy, thank you.👍

The description certainly goes out of its way to emphasize the lovely smell.
I hadn't noticed that it was evergreen, I normally just walk under the tree but since the blossom has come out, it is the small that has caught my attention.

Is it sometimes called fake orange?

That's what I was thinking also, except I heard it called Mock Orange. Same thing!

I use Google lens when I see a plant I like, you get the answer instantly

Mock Orange has flowers that are more rose like and I think come out in summer. Next door has one. Also deciduous

Mock Orange is also another utterly heavenly smelling plant for summer evenings

This is why it is better to use latin names for plants instead of common names. Same common name, two totally different species.
