Can I cut my rosemary in half?

I inherited this rosemary bush with the house so I'm not sure how long it has been in the ground but it is now enormous - both in length and width.
Can I cut the top half off or will I kill it?

This ! I would love such a huge Rosemary. Mine have always died, I don’t know why. A house in a village near me has a huge one, smothered in bees when in flower, I am very envious.

Tbh apart from a hard prune each year I don't do anything to it but it always grows back with a vengeance. I'm guessing it likes the spot it is in and the soil.
