What is this ground covering plant? There's a mass of about 3 feet of it in my new garden. Currently resembles a mass of skinny worms but there are some tiny pink flowers emerging. Is it worth keeping?

Will try to upload picture.

Sedum.

Sometimes called stonecrop. This will be one of the dwarf creeping types.

Looks like sedum

Is it worth keeping a smaller patch of it? Does the creepy worm look of it disappear at some stage?

That's because it's not fully hardy and dies back to the stems. You won't see as much of that when it comes back into growth. Depends if you like it really. It can be useful where little else grows and is easy enough to pull up because it's a surface rooter. You usually get little flowers on it later in the year. I've planted it before I der my gas meter where there was very little soil and it was always dry and sunny. It has it's uses.
