Hi , so I moved into a old style terraced council house between 2 private owned about 18 months ago. When I move in the garden was over grown so had to wait for it to be cut down . The property is on a hill so the garden are not level either side, once the garden was cut down I noticed the old style stick fencing needed replacing this was on the side where there is a drop into the next garden but bellow that stick fence there is also about a 2 foot high brick wall which supports and separates the gardens which is crumbling.
The neighbour has their own fencing panels and there is a gap between mine and their fence and ansmall tree sits there . I noticed their fencing was attached to my posts which has started to lean over due weight. I had reported this to council who came out a few times but will not touch it as the say they may damage the neighbours fence and be at fault. It was left ..6 months on ..
After the strong winds earlier this year the neighbours fencing eventually blew down taking mine with it . They have since patched their fencing leaving a gap between the brick work bellow which is breaking down.
I am now left with a land slide in my garden and a gap leading straight into the neighbours which cant be filled because how they positioned the fence leaving a gap but not fixing wall bellow . And to add the large nails sticking out there patched fence on my side. They don't use there garden so clearly don't care but have I a young child that can't use mine due to this . The council did some work on the opposite side of my garden wall which supports the opposite neighbours garden falling into mine but not the dangerous side.. any advice ?
