Greenhouse question

I was hoping to get some advice. I would really like to get a greenhouse soon, I’ve wanted one for a long time. It would just be a 6x4 greenhouse.
I live in a 4 in a block apartment so myself and 3 others have our own back gardens in a row and our gardens are separated by 3ft fences. The greenhouse would be beside the 3ft fence that splits mine and one of my neighbours gardens.
I was wondering if I was allowed to put it there? It wouldn’t be blocking any light into her garden. I’ve looked online and some websites say it’s fine, others say it has to be a metre from the fence etc so I thought I’d ask for some perspective on here.

I hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

Permanent structures (apart from ones with planing permission) have to be a mtr from a boundary..a greenhouse isn't a permanent structure, HOWEVER, it depends who actually owns the fence
Do you own it rent the property? My nextdoor neighbour, recently put a greenhouse at the end of his garden, probably the size you mention, but he added his own fence, just inside the other one, just to make sure. Frankly, I thought he was daft because the other side, they have a shed, bang on the boundary fence
. what about a decent cold frame, that would eliminate any issues.i am assuming the fence is just 3ft high?

You need to allow for access and maintenance around all sides, so not directly next to the fence. And check whether you are allowed to erect a structure in your garden as previously mentioned.

Myself and my neighbour both rent the properties and as far as I'm aware it's a joint fence? As it blew down quite a few years ago and my landlord and her landlord both went halves on it.
My landlord is really easy going but hers isn't so I might need to check that one.
I'm in Scotland and get a lot of windy days, not sure if a cold frame would survive!

happynewyear. We live up a hill near the south downs,10 minutes away from the sea,it's a wind tunnel. I cold frame, with a much lower centre of gravity would be safer than a taller greenhouse,we have both,in fact we have 4 greenhouse,2 are the size you mention, and up against the bungalow. Cold frame is on the veg plot along with another greenhouse, toughened safely glass.

Would something like this not be safe enough if it was bolted down to concrete slabs? This is similar to what I was looking for. It's toughened glass too

Morning,on theory yes,out top one we inherited with the bungalow 6x8, is bolted down to slabs, it's a standard Halls, several lanes of glass have shattered in high winds, storms, horticultural glass is difficult to come by now and eye wateringly expensive. The bottom one is on shingle, but protected by trees over the fence. That's toughened safely glass. We added another lean to next to the original one,by the bungalow, so that's also protected from the heavy winds.i thought a cold frame would solve any fencing neighbour issues. Yup,got one of those as well.

So basically the greenhouse structure bolted down, doesn't move but the glass does in high winds, sometimes I walk to the local shop and can hardly stand up!
