What did you get for Christmas?

What gardening enabling presents did you get? I got a mini chainsaw. Won’t do big stuff, but will cope with the stuff that’s too big for loppers and getting too tedious for a pruning saw.

Apparently the average garden has a population of around 35,000 slugs - and that doesn't include snails! I was surprised how many different varieties there are, with glorious names like the Budapest keeled slug.

Lots of things eat slugs, including a variety beetles and insects, rodents as well as other slugs, and there is good advice on encouraging all those things into the garden. However, some of the things that we think eat slugs actually eat the beetles that predate slugs - I'm looking at you hedgehogs.
