We have a butterfly acer that has pink trunk and leaves, lime green leaves in summer and bright red now. We also have a 20ft one that in currently graded red, orange, yellow a green as you go up the tree and it’s beautiful.

The big one sounds more like a liquidamber than an acer. Does it have a very straight trunk, grow into a point at the top and have seeds that look like little covids? That’s a liquidamber. We have several surrounding our garden. Not in, but we get the full benefit. They are absolutely beautiful.

I thought I was good with trees as we have around 300 in the garden, so now I’m gonna have to double check when I get home!!! Has no seeds that I have ever seen though, will have a google. Thank you for the heads up!
