North facing fence, need something big and colourful to fill the gap, any suggestions gratefully received! It's got a huge Mexican orange blossom to the left of it.

@MereDintofPandiculation yes it was in flower when we planted it there. We liked it so much we had actually decided to get more of them to fill the space. When we came back there was only a brown stump left of it

Natural life cycle then. Nothing you did.

Hopefully it’s shed lots of seeds and you’ll get more flowers in 2026

Lavetera (mallow) seems to grow unstoppably in my experience - it flowers for ages and hides a multitude of sins bins in our case.

They won't flower in the first year. They'll flower in 2026

I've bought a couple of Jasmine's, let's hope they grow fast next year to fill at least some of that ugly fence!
