I'm looking to get one later on this year for my allotment. Put the frame-work up first and then the cover in the spring.

Anyone have any recommendations, it needs to be able to put up with strongish winds, say 70 mph at the worst,

We’re looking at poly tunnels a few years ago, and there is one in Scotland who does them for windy areas. Can't remember their name, and have lost the link. You'd be able to find it on Google. If it'll stand up to Scottish winds you'd be OK.

best to put it up in autumn ready for the spring season, I have a first tunnels one and it’s really sturdy, there are various options on how to ground the corner posts. My poly tunnel
is 3m by 5m as well (I think it was a gift for my big birthday)

Highland Poly Tunnels?

Yes, that's the one.

Being properly weighed down is very important - the most robust poly tunnel in the world won’t be any use if it isn’t secured, so worth bearing in mind when you think about where it goes.

(Yesterday’s high winds showed which of our neighbours hadn’t considered that! What a mess.)

A friend has one, and what they've done is to put it so the door faces east, away from the prevailing wind. All around the entire thing they have weighted the cover down with railway sleepers all round the bottom and actually buried it in the ground so the wind can't get underneath to lift it up.
