Sarah Raven Courses

Does anyone have experience of Sarah Raven's courses? I am keen to sign up for one in 2025. Is it possible to get to Perch Hill via public transport? Are there places to stay nearby? And would it be a fun experience if one was by themselves?

Try Barnsdale Gardens, it was created by the late Geoff Hamilton, and he was someone who definitely knew his stuff. The gardens are inspiring and they run practical courses.

They also do the most amazing afternoon teas, better that Harrods and that was very good

It looks well worth a visit. I'm not an 'afternoon tea' person, but if I went all that way, I could be tempted to trying some food. Smile

Any other gardens recommended?

Great Dixter! And Sissinghurst. You can do all 3 in a day, just about.

Not from home, but it might be an idea for a bit of a break. Thanks.
The Great Dixter gardens look dreamy.

Do thé flower arranging. That was how she started in gardening, and it’s the area where she has real talent and originality.

If I wasn't so rubbish at flower arranging and growing flowers for cutting, I'd be tempted.
Pretty and colourful flowers and great views...
Chance to meet like-minded people and learn new skills ...

Pictures her begowned self wafting around her beautiful flower garden picking armfuls of flowers and making stunning displays.
