Front of terrace, south facing plant question

I'm not a gardener and kill everything. I need something bright and colourful but low maintenance. I have geraniums in a window box - all good, very bright and don't need too much care. What can I put in a large pot next to the front door? The house is a bit ramshackle looking, so no pristine paths or perfect masonry, but a cute little Victorian terrace. Rented so can't do too much.

The front of the house is full south facing.

Can anyone recommend something please? Thank you!

Salvia Amistad with erigeron karvinskianus underneath - low maintenance, floriferous and perennial but not evergreen. I have day lilies with erigeron in large pots and those are very low maintenance. Agapanthus work well in big pots too.

An olive tree will be happy in full sun, and won’t mind if it goes a bit dry, so you need to water too often.

My neighbour has a callistemon in a pot, it’s a cheerful looking shrub.

Palms would also work - chamaerops humilis are happy in pots.

Something like rosemary would also work and looks good all year plus the lovely fragrance. Pots of large tree aeoniums underplanted with smaller succulents would look cool.

English Lavender or Rosemary - both evergreen, both smell lovely, low maintenance, great for pollinators, can be used in the home/cooking.
