Online plants, shrubs, and trees stockists you'd recommend

We are in the market for a couple of flowering shrubs and a fruit tree for a sunny, large bed. The garden centres near us are known to be expensive. I'd like to explore online retailers but I'm concerned about spending money on low-quality stock.

Can anyone recommend reliable online stockings in the UK for flowering shrubs and trees? If they sell 'normal' plants too that'd be a bonus. Thank you.

I bought 2 apple and a pear from Aldi about 3 years ago. I’m trying to grow them along a fence and keeping them quite small
last year I had loads of apples- no pears.

Sorry - saw a post about Beechwood Nurseries (3fatpigs.co.uk), recommending them and have to post - please do not recommend this company - just check out all the online reviews on Trustpilot, Sitejabber and the like. I received a dead tree from them, experienced very rude customer service, was constantly fobbed off that the tree was 'dormant', was asked to do a bark scrape, which I did, proving it was dead and sent photographic evidence requesting a refund at which point they refused to respond. Based in N Ireland so believe they are above the law so we are being forced to go to the bank for a chargeback to get the money back. I have reported them to Trading Standards as they have horrendous reviews on many sites and I think that someone should be looking into them.

David Austin roses are the only place i will ever buy live plants online from. Everything has always arrived promptly and well packaged, as good as from the garden centre.
Every where else has always been a big disappointment - usually because they've been thrown about by the courier or kept too hot or cold!
Although just remembering I bought daffs/snowdrops etc from Eurobulbs and they were fine, but bulbs a bit different to a live plant!

I've had some really good plants from Gardening Express and they have good offers. I bought loads from Farmer Gracy last year, bare root and fledgling, l think one took, it's a cascading flower thing, no flowers as yet.

Oh this doesn’t fill me with confidence. I placed a decent sized order with Farmer Gracy around 3 weeks ago. Hasn’t been dispatched yet. Awaiting response to my query yesterday asking when it will be.
I hope my plants are in good condition when I receive them. Mostly bare root… a few bulbs.
Ill update.

As I read on I see some better opinions on Farmer Gracy. Fingers firmly crossed!

My Farmer Gracy bare root plants have flourished. Well packed too.

I've had good experiences with Langthorns. (I've also ordered from Beth Chatto and Crocus - they were fine)

Try Jurassicplants.co.uk. Awesome selection mostly trees/climbers “Sausage tree” anyone? We came across them at planthuntersfairs.co.uk plant fairs nationwide. Seeing the stall you have to choose something. The fairs in person are quite expensive with quality plants though. I hope you can also find a favourite plant nursery - just use google maps in your area “garden nursery” my local isn’t online because it sells out its own grown beauties.
