Gardeners with disabilities

I love gardening but increasing disability is meaning I mostly can’t do the things I would like. I pay someone to mow, don’t mind that as found mowing dull work anyway, but I would really like to be able to do a bit of weeding and planting etc.
I use a crutch, can bend ok but can’t stand still for more than a minute at most without terrible pain. Arms and hands are fine though.
I’m wondering about some sort of easily moved seat so I can then reach to my borders. Would have to be sturdy though as I need to sort of lever myself up and down and I am no pixie!
Also wondered about tools which might make life easier.
Any thoughts or recommendations welcome. In an ideal world I would have raised beds made with sleepers but no spare cash at the moment.

Long handled everything, evergreen shrubs, lightweight planters, raised beds is a great idea.

You can buy reversible seats that are plastic that are lightweight and can help if you need to move it around.

Most of all just aim for little and often.

I also buy garden ready plants for baskets to provide colour so that I am not relying on beds and borders for pretty flowers as much.

Sympathies, am getting that way too! I have a folding seat, like a platform with metal legs at the side, which can be used to kneel on one way up, turn it the other way and it can be sat on. You can hold the handles to stand up.
Google folding garden kneeler, there are loads on there. (Just tried to copy and paste an image but didn't work).

Thanks to those who have replied. I’ve just seen this and wondered if anybody had tried one?

Not tried one but now I want to!

I do gardening a bit at a time, with lots of sitting in between.

I have this chair which is really light and have found I can do quite a lot sitting in it and would be lost without it :

This pruner is good as hold onto the branch once cut and use it for a variety of things plus picking up other tools that are on the floor:

I have something similar to this and managed to weed a bed the other day including croscomia corms ( plastic trug next to seat to put weeds in when you push the button to release):

Also use a Wolf Garten push pull weeder whilst sitting and one of those very long pruning things on extendable handle, a pruning saw and for digging holes I have this and use it a few times in the same place, haven’t tried sitting down but it might work if soil not too compacted:

Hope all the links work. Next purchase is going to be a mini chain saw type thing.

I find a light weight border fork and spade (preferably pointed) are my most used tools for ground level borders, I find it easier to dig up weeds or whatever with the surrounding soil and then pick the weeds off the fork or spade when I'm standing, if that makes sense. I've tried various weeders over the years and I've had more success with old school methods, it has the advantage of turning the top layer of soil at the same time.

Thankfully my back garden is mostly raised borders, which I can manage much better and I can sit down if necessary.
