Recommendations for good plant nurseries. London/SE

I have paid for someone to design a planting plan. I like gardening and have quite a lot of experience but have tended to just buy plants bit by bit. Now I have two large beds to fill in one go and the plants he has recommended are very naice. I don't think I can shove in things from B and Q and a regular London garden centre.

So, what is the best nursery you would recommend in London or SE (Kent, Surrey, Sussex)

Bumping my own thread! I have tried googling but the websites don't show realistic pictures of the plants (eg. are they healthy) and the reviews are about things like the cafe not being good or problems with a delivery rather than about the plants themselves.

I like Polhill, Coolings and Cobham Nurseries (and good cafes!)

The nursery at RHS Wisley has a good range (you can visit the nursery without paying admission charge).

This nursery is a further out than you’re looking at, near Bath, but they do deliver and have lots of perennials that you just don’t see at garden centres. Special Plants. All of the plants are very healthy and everything I’ve bought there has thrived.

The lady who owns/runs the nursery is hugely knowledgeable and if you’re placing a large order, or several large orders for successional planting, I would suspect she would recommend some beautiful combinations for you.

Coolings are great. I love provender but you need a trade account but you ca walk around for free though. So hence I go to Coolings. I also like going to Ruxley but theyvhave smaller range compared ro Coolings.

if you look up a couple of the plants on your list on the RHS website, they will give you a list / map of which nurseries stock that plant. and a big nursery will probably have more than one from your list.
