Anyone spotted ajy bargain's to be had at the garden centres yet? I haven't been for a mooch in a while. I know b&q sell off some bits late summer but not sure if it's to early still. I'm tempted to go to my local Morrisons garden section to see what's about, I'm getting excited about garden planning for next year!

I haven't noticed any in shops but some online sites have been offering some bargain perennials. I'm buying seeds and bulbs at the moment, planning for next spring.

The Dobbies nearest to me had roses, hydrangeas, alpines and also very reduced violas and chrysanthemums that had got a bit frazzled in the heat but have perked up fine

Several local garden centres have permanent reduced sections which I frequent Grin
The Blue Diamond ones are very good for reduced perennials that have stopped flowering but are still fine; the independent one is good for more unusual varieties like fruit bushes & roses.

Practically my whole garden is stocked with either reduced plants from garden centres or ones from plant fairs.

Our local b&q reduces plants all the time...I nip in on a regular basis and see what's been moved to clearance. We have given our garden a makeover this year and I'd say the majority of the plants are from what we call the half dead section.

I got a couple of verbenas for £1.25 from another local bargain shop that has a garden centre and they are looking amazing!
Love a bargain plant.

No sale items in Morrisons today, always love to rescue something on the death row trolley in B&Q, my garden is full of them.

@APurpleSquirrel it's such a great way to fill a garden! I've had my garden a year all done from plugs but I've still got the other end to do so I'm slowly adding bits as cheaply as I can. Full priced plants are a lot!

I make a list of plants I want & then whenever I'm in a garden centre or plant section/sale, I know what to keep an eye out for.
