Best tomato varieties

I’ve been growing cordon tomato plants for a few seasons now. I’ve always stuck to red cherry tomatoes but next year I’m going to treat myself to a few seed packets!

So please tell me your favourite cordon type tomatoes to grow. And where you get the seeds from. I have space for 6 to 8 plants.

thanks

If it wasn’t obvious, I’m looking to have lots more variety than just cherry red ones! Thank you

Rosella is a delicious cherry tomato. Dark skin and flesh, the flavour is terrific. Also, produces loads of fruit. It was still going strong in October last year for us.

I can second sungold, delicious and a lovely colour, Tigerella are stripey green and yellow and quite tangy for salads etc. I always do moneymaker and tumbling Tom too as the yield is so good.
They are all cherries

Incas last year big juicy plum tomatoes and the excess for made into pasta sauce for the freezer.

I've got black Russians this year, flowers so far no fruit, so I'm glad PP says they're delicious!

Sun gold are wonderful I am sure you can fit a few more plants in and around. I think I have over 30 different plants We like tomatoes

Sibirian golden pear tomatoes. Small and very sweet heirlooms - apparently pear tomatoes are also called teardrop tomatoes. Not sure where to order from in the UK- I got them from a friend who uses German seed merchants but that might be an issue post Brexit..

Sungold are very popular with my family, also tigerella. Kids don't like rosella but husband does.
I'm trying beef tomatoes this year for the first time too!
And some other varieties I've forgotten the name of right now ...
Some sort of cherry tomatoes I think

Minibel have done very well in the past....

ildi - they’re a yellow pear shaped tomato and an incredible cropper. Lovely typical sweet small tomato taste. I prefer them to sun gold and found them to produce a lot more.

I grew a few types last year and found marmande beefsteak were my favourite which was odd as I’d always thought I preferred cherry tomatoes. But the flavour was great and I used them for the most fantastic bruschetta lunches.

Thanks everyone!! I think I will need to find more space!

Tigerella are a red striped. Green Zebra are the green striped. Both are superb though.

OP if you can grow larger tomatoes outside of you have a polytunnel, or greenhouse, Dr Wyche's yellow is the best one I've ever tasted. Or any of the Wild Boar farms varieties, like Pink Berkeley Tie Dye. Or any of the Brandywine's.

Medium size, the Green Zebra was my favourite last year, but I grow loads of this size and they all taste excellent compared to shop bought. Yellow Perfection is another one I've loved for years.

No space for a poly tunnel or greenhouse. I
grow outside but in outer London so it’s a fairly warm summer. I’m mainly restricted to a 3m x 1m raised bed. I have three beds but the others have pumpkins and peas - all things my kids will eat or enjoy carving!!
