Aaarghhhh - thunderstorm

The sky went dark about an hour ago, I've been listening to the constant sound of thunder, watching the approaching storm on www.lightningmaps.org and what does it do? Veer off and miss my garden by about half a mile.

So it is still parched out there, and I'm going to have to go and water after all.

We are in Bolton, had the same yesterday and Saturday. Lots of thunder, no rain
It's going dark now, the forecast shows thunderstorms as it has since Friday night but I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't have a garden just some fruit trees in pots and a rose bush.
The trees are constantly parched

I lied....we've just had a monsoon which lasted around 15 minutes, including hail....the thunder has racked up a gear, but still no lightening (which I'm glad about because I hate it).

I'm quite glad it missed us yesterday. A FB hobby group I'm on has friends of mine in other parts of the country, and they were reporting deluges, flooded gardens, damaging hail, strong gusts of wind and one person said a couple of trees came down in their village.
