Can anyone tell me what this is? Grows under trees and looks like across between wild garlic and a leek. No flowers.

It looks a bit like unhappy tulips that are “blind” to me. But it probably isn’t.

Lily of the Valley?

extrastrong · 08/06/2023 22:40

Thank you

I think it may be lily of the valley.

Yes, I think it’s Lily of the Valley. The leaves are surprisingly tough, very difficult to tear one off

MaryJanesonabreak · 10/06/2023 21:14

They look too long for Lilly of the valley and they would have had the little white flowers.

MereDintofPandiculation · 11/06/2023 08:58

The leaves look precisely like lily of the valley, the length depends n how much they have to push through, though I do see what you mean. and if they’re growing in an unfavourable position, it’s quite possible for them not to have flowers. I’m familiar with lily of the valley both from my garden and in the wild. I wouldn’t like to be totally confident without handling the leaves, but there’s nothing in the photo to rule out lily of the valley.

However, could be Bletilla?
