Do you deadhead poppies?

Can't work it out from information online.

My poppies lasted all of 2 weeks before they were totally blown over by a very strong wind!

Mine aren't lasting long either cos of the wind but they are so lovely while they last.

Thank you LilyRed, I am heading to the garden centres this morning to see what I can find. We're not near the coast. Really hope to find something!

I have lots of yellow and orange Welsh poppies, I leave the seedheads to go brown and dry up, then carefully cut them off and tip them upside down in an old envelope and end up with hundreds of seeds.
