I supervised DH building a new shed. Now having a rest while he fills said shed.
He did quite a good job, even put sealant behind the fascia boards and filled in the loose knot holes so the shed is actually weathertight.

I'm on holiday, sitting on a balcony outside listening to the sounds of a local festival. I've realised that I very rarely 'sit out' in my garden - I just can't help but start doing something. My post-holiday resolution will be to just be lazy in the garden a little more.

I feel the same, WobblyLondoner. Every time I go out there, I find another job to do. Just now, it was picking up the windfall apples.

We got back from holiday this afternoon. After eight days away, there was SO much to do 🙈. I'm never going away in August again. I've said this before

We've spent 3 hours cutting lawns, dead heading, weeding, chopping things down (looking at you Rose Campion 🙄), I've dug out one of the clumps of day lily which I've never liked and replaced it with a dahlia which had grown huge and was in the wrong place. Hopefully the dahlia will survive the move. I was very careful with it.

I've also watered a couple of flower beds as it looks like it's been very dry here. Loads more to do tomorrow. I've come back from holiday with lots of garden ideas and inspiration to expand the flower beds but I think I really need to get what we have in better order first 😳
