Has anyone tried low-growing wildflower turf?

I have a gravel path that I'm thinking could be lovely as a strip of low-growing wildflower turf, has anyone grown that stuff?

Other options I'm thinking of are camomile or sagina subulata.

Ive been eyeing a product like this up too. I don't think it would be robust enough to use as a path. Could so a stepping stones type arrangement and grow plants in the gaps. I've got marjoram along my path, it becomes more compact where it gets lightly damaged and smells lovely. The bees are crazy for it too.

The path is pretty wide, even though the garden is small, I could definitely do stepping stones. Maybe stepping stones with something like thyme or sagina subulata would look a bit more intentional, and keep the wildness to the borders themselves. The path is edged, so whatever I replaced the gravel with, it wouldn't end up taking over the beds.

It's going to look lush OP, I hope it grows well.

I hope so, lush, wild and verdant is what I'm after. I think I'll do it next spring.

That photo is gorgeous. I was inspired by a wide gravel path at RHS Harlow Carr where the planing creped into the gravel and irises were popping up at intervals.

I'd imagine the clover in the mix would take a moderate amount of foot traffic. I threw some wild turf seed around my nature pond a couple of years back and the clover needs regularly keeping in check.
