Scented outdoor plant

What can I buy to put in a pot outside that has a strong scent?

Have space on my patio at the back door so would love something that smells beautiful as I go in and out

I'll throw in the idea of a microphylla salvias if you like a blackcurranty smell. Brush past it and its so lovely

Some petunias smell gorgeous, usually the purple ones I think.

Nicotiana is another scented annual.

Lavender, rosemary, mint, roses.

rose and Jasmine are the scents of summer for me

This is a great thread. I've just moved from a house (with garden) to an apartment (with balcony) so I need to get some lovely pots full of sunshine to cheer me up

Thank you for this. I've never heard of it but my DH is obsessed with the smell of vanilla.
